I'm pretty sad about some of the comments that have been put on the blog lately.
If you could see the time, effort and sweat that I have put (and still making) in this mod, no one would dare make such comments or criticize my percentage system.
Crysis 2 is already a good game. Nobody needs my mod to play Crysis 2. I do not think I owe anything to anyone.
I already finished a texture mod for the game (and two updates) even before crytek launched his own patch (and they have HD textures before launching the game). So I see unfair to criticize the speed at which I develop the mod.
The percentage system seems a joke. That may be true. But I only applied maths. It's the accurate result about all the remaining elements and what I'm finishing. Too slow?? Well, I can not do more. Some days I only can spend 10 o 15 minutes. Sometimes I sleep only 3 hours to go a little further. If anyone wants to see it climb faster I'm delighted people to be offered to help me in the remainder.
This version of the mod is not simply "improve some textures." It goes far beyond that goal that was already met in the previous version. This is about how much I can achieve perfection improving my skills with available resources and, of course, intended to be completed by the end of the year (hopefully much sooner). There are hundreds and hundreds of minor changes in every level. And free.
I am preparing the screenshots batch of the next update, it's too much work to play around for taking screenshots. And right after that I prepare a beta (rather a rc) so that some users can test it. The next thing is to go public.
Ok, maybe I can put some versus shots, here. And if you are interested, actual percentage is near 99,8%.
